I love smoothies for breakfast or snacks it makes me feel like I’m eating something healthy. After the Thanksgiving feast, I need to have something that I feel like isn’t loaded with fat and this smoothie does it for me. I prefer my smoothies on the tart side because I want my thirst quenched, the cranberries give the tartness to this drink that helps quench my thirst. If you like your smoothies sweet just add more banana and maybe a tablespoon of honey or agave nectar. Enjoy this healthier breakfast after the holidays.

Cranberry Breakfast Smoothie

1 cup apple juice
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1 cup sliced frozen strawberries
1 1/2 frozen banana
2 heaping tablespoons of Greek yogurt

Directions: Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until all the fruit is fully blended.
Serves: 2

I think I should get some more cranberries and make this smoothie at least once a day instead of munching on Christmas treats!
