Root Beer Float Ice-Cream | you-made-that.comRoot beer fans will love this ice-cream, it full of root beer flavor from root beer concentrate. Root beer floats are one of the easiest desserts to throw together at the last minute. Making this ice-cream ahead of time takes very little time but eating it in a ice-cold glass mug with some ice-cold root beer poured over the top is even faster. It’s a treat you will want to make again and again, this recipe got rave reviews from the pickiest of eaters, my 13 year old son. The recipe here is for a small batch but I’m positive it could be converted over to a larger recipe.  Also if you have a favorite vanilla ice-cream recipe for a large capacity ice-cream maker omit the vanilla and replace with root beer concentrate. Hope you enjoy the rest of Summer and have a frosty homemade root beer float ice-cream float 🙂 .

One of my guilty pleasures! I need that mug though. My mom and I love making treats like this. It has been way too long since I had a root beer float. Yum, Hugs, Terra

What a great idea! I used to love root beer floats as a kid, but haven’t had one in a long time. I like this idea of making them into an ice cream.

Gee what an obvious and perfect flavor for an ice cream! Duh. Rootbeer floats are an American classic as you know.
