Peaches are one of our families favorite Summer pleasures and we hate when the fresh peaches are gone. Speaking of Summer it wouldn’t be summer without a few homemade popsicles. Popsicles are simple and refreshing and if you don’t have an ice-cream maker popsicle molds are the next best thing. You can experiment with whatever you like and since I had lots of peaches these little pops got mixed up rather quickly. I used heavy cream in these pops because I was feeling rather indulgent but you could probably get the same effect here if you used half and half or whole milk, even vanilla yogurt would be tasty and not so many fat calories for sure. Whatever you do just make the most of your Summer and enjoy the simple pleasurable things.

Peaches -n- Cream Popsicles

Ingredients:
1 cup peach puree
1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
1- 2 T. of honey depending on how sweet the peaches are

Directions:
Step 1: Peel and chop 2 medium large peaches, then add to the blender and puree them.
Step 2: Mix all the ingredients together in a blender and pour into popsicle molds. Freeze until hard at least 6 hours. Run water over the outside of the popsicles molds to loosen the pops for eating.
Makes: about 8 popsicles

Growing up in Michigan, where peaches were just ok, I really didn’t eat many peaches. Now that I live in the south, I crave Carolina and Georgia peaches! Your popsicles look so delicious:-) Hugs, Terra

I’m glad you finally got a taste of good peaches Terra because they are so good. My dad always had peach trees in the backyard growing up in Calif. and they were so good.

We hate when the fresh peaches are gone, too! I haven’t gone to the store this week but I’m guessing I won’t be able to find them and if I can, they won’t be any good. 🙁

And love these popsicles! Peaches and cream. Yum!

Peaches are absolutely one of the best things about summer! I need to buy some popsicle molds – I’ve seen so many wonderful flavors on the web in the past few months and Peaches & Cream sounds absolutely divine! Although I would probably go with whole milk 😉
