July 4th Decor

I know no one is going to jump out and do this project before the 4th but I had to show what I made this week.  At church we ordered these vinyl letter sayings to put on tiles for July 4th.  I really wasn’t sure I wanted to do another tile since I have a few.  So while shopping I saw a shadow box and decided it would be perfect for my 4th of July decoration. Here it is and some instructions in case you want to do something similar in the future for another holiday.

  1. Vinyl letters or make your own with a cricut cutter
  2. Shadow box
  3. Fabric for back of the box or craft paper would work
  4. Scissors
  5. Spray adhesive
  6. Ribbon

  1. clean glass surface
  2. apply the vinyl letters
  3. spray the backing board that will show in the frame with adhesive
  4. lay pre-cut piece of fabric or paper on board and smooth out.
  5. place back board in place
  6. tie decorative ribbon and hang up

I love this, it's modern and very creative. I like that it is simple enough to do with kids. Will you do another holiday idea?

Thanks so much. I will probably come up with some more holiday ideas. Halloween is the next big one and is a fun one to decorate for.

I love this, and you're right, I can think of all sorts of things to use it for. Wouldn't it be cute with a piece of a baby's blanket underneath and then words for baby?

Have fun in San Antonio! Wish I could be there, but we will see you soon!

Thanks Destri, I can't wait to see you all soon. XOXOX

I have 2 or 3 of the vinyl pieces left. If you want one, they are $12.25 ($7.00 + shipping). Let Suzanne know if you want one; she can give you my cell number.
