Green Onion Party Cheeseball

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had my friend Lisa’s cheese ball…a lot.  Everyone who tries it says “who made the cheese ball?” She loves the compliments, who doesn’t when it comes to something you’ve made. For the 10th time I asked her what the recipe was and this time I remembered it and now I’m sharing the love with all of you. The great thing about this recipe is it takes all of 5 minutes to assemble and then chill time, which can be a day or two ahead of time. The garlic and onion flavor is intense and the added cheddar gives it a nice flavor too, but you may have some serious garlic breath after you eat this so make sure you share it with your loved ones :). If you want the perfect appetizer for any party then you need to try it out on your friends and listen for the question “Who made the cheese ball?”

Green Onion Party Cheeseball

Ingredients:
16 oz. cream cheese
6 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1 dry ranch green onion packet, if you can’t find green onion regular ranch is great too
1/2  cup toasted pecans chopped

Directions:

Step 1:  In a medium size mixing bowl mix the dry ranch packet with the softened cream cheese with an electric hand mixer or with a spoon until mixed well.

Step 2:  Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix well.

Step 3:  Get a large piece of wax paper and put the shopped nuts on it.

Step 4:  Put a little vegetable oil on your hands and shape the mixture into a ball, then roll in the nuts.  Wrap in  plastic and refrigerate a few hours.   When ready to eat serve with crackers and enjoy.

Yes, it’s Hidden Valley, I got it at Walmart.

This looks Oh-So-Awesome! I wanna bury myself in this!!! On my Paleo diet, I can’t indulge in cheese until after my 30th day, but for sure, this recipe will be filed under my “treats” folder! I can’t stay away from cheese forever now, could I? Can’t wait to try this some day…

Gosh, I have to try this and I’d better make sure there are people around when it’s time to serve it or I’d most likely eat the entire ball! Totally my kind of eats!

Oh my! I have always feared making the great cheese ball, but LOVE them. I found your recipe via Pinterest and thought this was easy enough and should give it a go. I am so glad I did. Found the Green Onion packet too. I just finished making this for a family function tomorrow and couldn’t help but take a little taste and this is so delicious! Thanks so much for posting this!! Just might be my new go to for a bring along finger food!!
